Anita Suresh
Director, Genomics & Diagnostic Technologies FIND
Anita Suresh is Director of Genomics and Diagnostic Technologies at FIND, a global health nonprofit, where she drives development of and access to diagnostic tools for major global health threats. She has led a multidisciplinary team to evaluate genomic technologies for tuberculosis (TB), antimicrobial resistance and pandemic preparedness. Under her leadership, the Seq&Treat initiative directly informed the first-ever global policy from the World Health Organization (WHO) endorsing sequencing for drug-resistant TB diagnosis in 2024 – a landmark moment in precision public health. Anita has 20 years of experience across the diagnostics value chain, including upstream and downstream IVD commercialization, technology assessment, clinical and scientific programme management, R&D and public policy. She has advised several dozen diagnostic companies globally on strategic development – from unmet needs and regulatory pathways to product evaluation and country-level adoption – ensuring innovations meet real-world demands. Her work bridges sectors and geographies: she collaborates closely with industry, ministries of health, WHO, reference laboratories, researchers, and donors to design and deliver sustainable diagnostic and genomic solutions that scale. Anita has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, and graduate training in bioinformatics and molecular biology from the National University of Singapore.
